Mayor Tyrone A. Garner will recognize seven Wyandotte County women for their leadership. The recognition will take place during a special ceremony Thursday, March 6, at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The event will take place during the Unified Government Board of Commissioners meeting.
“These women exemplify the essence of leadership, courage, and vision,” Mayor Garner said. “They embody expertise in business, education, community engagement, activism, and beyond.”

- Carolyn Wyatt
Mayor Garner began the annual tradition of recognizing local women during Women’s History Month. This was a way to highlight the contributions of women shaping Wyandotte County’s civic, cultural, and educational life.
Community members are invited to attend and join in celebrating this year’s honorees.
