Christal Clear Conversations Will Start March 17 in Kansas City, Kansas.
Mayor Christal E. Watson is launching a new town hall series meant to bring residents and Unified Government (UG) leaders into more direct conversation.
The series, called Christal Clear Conversations, begins Tuesday, March 17, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the KCK Town House Tenant Association, 1021 N. 7th St. According to the Mayor’s Office, the meetings are meant to create space for residents to raise concerns, share neighborhood priorities, and talk directly with local leadership.
The broader goal is to strengthen communication between the community and the UG. Future meetings are planned in all eight commission districts, with district commissioners and at-large commissioners expected to take part.
In a statement announcing the series, Watson said strong communities depend on people feeling heard and understood. She said the meetings are meant to help residents talk openly about what is working, what challenges remain, and how the community should move forward together.
Each session will last 90 minutes and focus on community input. Residents will be able to talk about neighborhood successes, local challenges, and priorities they want UG leaders to address.
The first meeting is open to residents, neighborhood associations, community leaders, media, and other stakeholders.
A full schedule of future dates, times, and locations will be posted on the UG’s website. Residents can also contact the Mayor’s Office at (913) 573-5010 for more information.
