Waste Management (WM) will not provide residential trash and recycling collection in Kansas City, Kansas. This will occur on Monday, May 26, 2025, in observance of Memorial Day.
Collection will be pushed back by one day for the rest of the week:
- Monday routes → Tuesday, May 27
- Tuesday routes → Wednesday, May 28
- Wednesday routes → Thursday, May 29
- Thursday routes → Friday, May 30
- Friday routes → Saturday, May 31
Residents should set carts at the curb by 6 a.m. on their adjusted pickup day.
The Unified Government notes that residential trash and recycling customer service is now managed directly by WM. Residents can report service issues or access their accounts in three ways:
- Visit WM.com – Register for 24-hour account access with your Customer ID.
- Download the My WM Mobile App – Available on iOS and Android.
- Call 1-800-796-9696 – Speak with a WM representative.
