The Unified Government’s Solid Waste Management team will host the event on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 5 & 6. This will be the second WyCo Dumpster Days event of 2025. It will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Indian Springs, 47th and Orville Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas.
The event allows Wyandotte County residents to drop off bulky items like old mattresses and furniture for free. It also offers electronics recycling for a small fee. Proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, is required.
“We’re excited to offer WyCo Dumpster Days again this year as a convenient opportunity for residents to dispose of bulky items and recycle electronics,” said Diana Miles, Solid Waste Manager. “Events like this help keep our community clean and give people an easy way to manage items that are hard to get rid of.”
