In observance of Labor Day, no residential trash or recycling will be collected in Kansas City, Kansas, on Monday, Sept. 1, the Unified Government (UG) announced.
According to Waste Management (WM), collection will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week:
- Monday pickup → Tuesday, Sept. 2
- Tuesday pickup → Wednesday, Sept. 3
- Wednesday pickup → Thursday, Sept. 4
- Thursday pickup → Friday, Sept. 5
- Friday pickup → Saturday, Sept. 6
Residents are asked to have trash and recycling at the curb by 6 a.m. on their adjusted collection day.
The UG has transitioned customer service for trash and recycling to WM. Residents with service concerns can:
- Visit WM.com to register for 24-hour account access (Customer ID required).
- Download the My WM App on Android or iOS.
- Call WM at 1-800-796-9696.
