The Wyandotte County community is mourning the loss of Sheriff’s Deputy Elijah Ming, who was killed in a tragic incident over the weekend. Deputy Ming’s death has drawn condolences and support from across the county, with many remembering his service and sacrifice.
To honor his life and legacy, the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office and the Unified Government will host a candlelight vigil on Wednesday, July 30, at 8:30 p.m. in front of the Wyandotte County Courthouse at 710 N. 7th Street. If inclement weather occurs, the vigil will be moved indoors to Memorial Hall at 600 N. 7th Street.
