According to the Unified Government (UG), trash and recycling collection will be delayed some days this week. This change is due to the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 27. Thursday routes will be collected on Friday, and Friday routes will be collected on Saturday. Residents should place all trash and recycling at the curb by 6 a.m. on their adjusted collection day.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday routes will follow a normal schedule:

The UG also reminded residents that residential trash and recycling customer service responsibilities have transitioned to WM. Residents should report service issues directly to WM using one of these options:
- Visit WM.com and register for 24 hour account access using your Customer ID.
- Download the My WM Mobile App on Android or iOS for on the go access.
- Call WM at 1-800-796-9696.
If a Customer ID is not available, residents can call WM at 1-800-796-9696 to get it.
Trash & Recycling Tips
According to the UG, delays do not always mean pickups were missed. Before reporting a missed collection, residents should keep the following in mind:
- Put trash and recycling out by 6 a.m.
- If items are missed, leave them at the curb until collected. Bringing them back in can lead to another miss.
• Recovery can take a day or two. Keep items sealed so trash does not blow into the street. If items still are not collected after a couple of days, report it again. - Bulky item set outs slow down collection routes. When possible, avoid placing bulky items at the curb so trucks can move more quickly through the neighborhood.
- Please be patient while WM works to resolve issues.
